2025-26 Westridge Coed Sponge Hockey League 

• 14 game regular season plus Playoffs. 

• Games are split into two 20 Minute halves running time. 

• Season runs from December to late February.

• All games are played in the south end of Winnipeg, just off Pembina Hwy, at 3 Marshall Crescent. Newly renovated.

• The League is run by the Breakaway Street Hockey Tournament Corporation.

• 4 heated dressing rooms situated between 2 full size hockey rinks.

• Spongee Shoe rentals available at Club.

• The cost to enter a team is $1050.00.00 which includes GST (No Ref Fees). 

• Weekly player statistical updates, standings and live game scores.

• Prizes awarded for all division champions & Trophy presentation.

• Usually two games per week. Thursday Evenings. 

• If tied after regulation in regular season, there will be a 5 minute 4 on 4 sudden death Overtime  

• 2 Females & 3 Males on Playing surface.

• Usually two games per week on Monday Evenings.

• If tied after regulation in regular season, there will be a 5 minute 4 on 4 sudden death Overtime. 

Basic Rules: 

• Mandatory equipment includes Sponge Hockey shoes, CSA approved Hockey Hockey Helmet.

• There is a 3 second in the key rule.

• Teams may share goalies for the regular season only. 

• All players must play in a minimum of 4 regular season games to qualify for playoffs. Goalies require just 1 game at the goaltender position.
